JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Institutional Advancement is responsible for providing leadership and direction through the planning, organization, coordination, and implementation of the College’s Advancement Programs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and supervise the major gifts & planning giving, annual fund, alumni relations, and donor relations functions.
  • Lead and direct all aspects of the capital campaign, alumni and donor communications, and oversee all Advancement special events.
  • Develop and implement gift policies and stewardship procedures for approval by the Board of Trustees.
  • Develop and implement the annual advancement plan and the multi-year advancement strategic plan.
  • Lead the advancement team in carrying out the goals and funding priorities as determined by the College’s mission and vision outlined in the Strategic Plan.
  • Evaluate all Advancement functions and programs annually.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward lead gifts.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be committed to the academic mission and core values of the College.
  • Must have bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred or requisite of at least 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Industry certification preferred.
  • Must have a least three years of leadership experience; supervising advancement staff in a capital campaign environment.
  • Must have a proven track record in closing government, corporate, and foundation solicitations; as well as major gifts, planned giving, and annual giving.
  • Must have experience engaging alumni.
  • Candidates should demonstrate emotional intelligence and effective communications and management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills are also necessary.
  • Must be compassionate, highly motivated, and goal orientated.
