expected to implement proactive monitoring procedures that identify potential
compliance issues before they become significant institutional concerns.

international markets.
4. Operational Efficiency and Accountability
Establishes a clearly defined institutional responsibility for SEVIS coordination,

classification and institutional responsibilities.
Administrative Recommendation
It is recommended that Talladega College establish the SEVIS Coordinator as a dedicated
professional position within the Division of Student Affairs, with a formal operational
relationship with Admissions and Recruitment, the Registrar, Academic Affairs, and
Information Technology.
The position should carry DSO responsibilities only after the individual has been
formally designated and authorized through the applicable SEVP process. Talladega
College should also maintain appropriate Primary Designated School Official (PDSO)
oversight and backup DSO coverage to ensure continuity of operations.
The proposed $44,000 annual salary provides a starting point for institutional
consideration, subject to Human Resources review and budget approval.
This structure positions the SEVIS Coordinator as more than a records-management
employee. It establishes a dedicated resource responsible for protecting institutional
compliance, strengthening international student services, supporting enrollment stability,
and contributing to the College’s long-term strategic objectives.
